Yoga Teacher Training 

These terms can be used interchangeably. Since 200 Hour is a prerequisite to take a 300 hour, your 200 plus a 300 makes you a 500 hour RYT.

No, but you do need to have completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

A 200 hour yoga certification is a prerequisite of this training. We ask that you have a yoga practice of 2+ years as well. You do not need to currently be teaching yoga to participate in this program. 

For students who haven’t taken my 200 hour training, you will receive my Bridge To 300 Hour Program. This program is a requirement for non-200 hour alumni. The Bridge Program is a selection of videos from my 200 Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training Course, comprised of 50 hours worth of content to review the fundamentals taught in my 200 hour. This ensures all students will have a standard level of Cathy Madeo Yoga education when entering the 300 hour training. Upon completion of the bridge program you will receive an additional 50 hour continuing education certificate from Cathy Madeo Yoga! You’ll get access to this library and tools for viewing the videos to get you all prepared for your 300 hour with me as soon as you register so you’ll have ample time to prepare!

I liken the 200 hour training to a liberal arts education, you get a great overview of the yoga practice. Your 300 hour deep dives into more granular aspects of the practice, in doing so your knowledge in areas such as anatomy, asana, pranayama, yoga philosophy, subtle body, sequencing and more will also deepen. You’ll also explore how to develop the skill to sequence and teach targeted yoga classes, such as: yoga for flexibility, yoga for low back pain, yoga for PMS, yoga for osteoporosis, yoga for anxiety, and more. On a practical level, if you want to continue to advance not only your practice but your teaching career, having a 500 hour will set you up in a position to train teachers, have a competitive edge of less qualified teachers when it comes to job placement, be able to negotiate a higher pay rate and be more equipped to develop classes and programming for both niche and wide audiences.

If the training is not paid in full no certificate will be issued. 

Refunds, less the $500 deposit are available up to 45 days prior to the start of training. If life circumstances mean you can’t complete the training, you can defer to the next scheduled online YTT with Cathy Madeo Yoga.

You’ll be a part of a private chat group moderated by Cathy, assigned to small groups based on your time zone where you will do homework assignments and have peer support. Yes! This program is designed to be flexible. All lives are recorded and added to your online course within 24 hours so you can watch on your own time.
